Meet Dr. Kimberley Johnson
Education and Training Background
I completed my doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Utah, a reproductive mental health-focused predoctoral internship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, and a postdoctoral research and clinical fellowship at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New England.
Program of Research
My program of research is centered on the mental health and quality of life impacts of childbirth-related pelvic floor injuries and conditions. Prior and ongoing studies have focused on understanding individual and societal factors that contribute to symptom-related distress, improving patient-provider communication, and developing evidence-based psychosocial support resources.
Academic Positions
In addition to maintaining a specialty clinical practice, I am an assistant professor of clinical psychology at Idaho State University, where I teach and supervise graduate students. My private practice is independent of the university. Prior to my appointment at ISU, I held faculty positions at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in New Hampshire and at the University of Utah.
